Afghanistan Won Their Second T20 Match In Desert T20 Championship.Dawlat, Rashid Guide Afghanistan to the 2nd Victory.

Afghanistan started its second game of the Desert T20 League against the hosts United Arab Emirates on February 16 in Abu Dhabi International Cricket Stadium.
Afghanistan has won the Toss & put UAE into Bat first, the UAE batters started very aggressively scoring 91 runs in the first 10 overs.

But they kept loosing wickets at the regular intervals, scoring just 55 runs in the last 10 overs, thanks to some good bowling displays by the Genuine Leg Spinner Rashid Khan & the off spinner Mohammad Nabi.

As soon as Rashid Khan brought to the bowling attack, he put a break to the UAE runs which were flowing away quickly. Shaiman Anwar scored a solid fifty, but when he was starting going up, Dawlat trashed his stumps by a terrific Yorker, Rohan Mustafa’s quick knock 29 runs at the top of the order was another good note of the UAE’s inning.

From Afghanistan side, Dawlat Zadran went for plenty of runs, conceding 44 runs but took 4 wickets as well, Rashid Khan was once again at the top of his game picking up 2 wickets for just 12 runs in the 4 overs which helped his side to restrict UAE to 146.

In Replay, Shahzad gave a flying start to Afghanistan inning, scoring 3 boundaries in just 7 deliveries, but he was soon dismissed by the Left Arm Spinner Ahmed Raza for 15 runs, Shahzad was soon followed by Najibullah Tarakai two balls later, when he top edged a short ball from Amjad Javed to the midwicket.

Afghanistan was in trouble at 16/2, but Samiullah Shinwari & the Skippers Asghar Stanikzai settled themselves down & shared 52 runs between them, when they started changing the gears, Ahmed Raza & Imran Haider pulled things back in their own favor, dismissing both Asghar Stanikzai & Mohammad Nabi inside 3 overs.

Samiullah Shinwari struck a couple of sixes, but the medium pacer Mohammad Shahzad got his ride, he nicked a ball to the wicket keeper trying to scoop the ball behind the wicket keeper.

Najibullah Zadran was promoted up the order ahead of Gulbadin Naib when his team was requiring 33 of 20 deliveries. Karim Janat struck a big six in the next over, getting Afghanistan a bit closer, They were requiring 20 runs of the last two overs, Karim Janat scored a boundary of the first ball of the 19th over, then Najibullah struck a massive six over the extra cover to take Afghanistan much closer, The bowler then bowled 5 wides to give Afghanistan their second victory.

Afghanistan Chased down the total by losing 5 wickets, with 7 balls to spare, Samiullah Shinwari scored 42, while the brothers Asghar Stanikzai & Karim Janat scored 30 & 22 respectively. From the UAE side Ahmed Raza picked up 2 wickets, while Amjad Javed, Imran Haider and Mohammad shahzad took 1 wicket each.
Dawlat Zadran was awarded the Man of the Match award for his 4 wickets.

This was Afghanistan’s second victory & they will face Namibia in their next encounter on February 19.
